As Head of Architecture and Strategy for TD Bank, I lead the direction, operating model, and evolution of architecture across one of the largest and most complex banking environments in North America. My mandate is equal parts challenger and enabler: to help the business modernize with intent, simplify where complexity has crept in, and ensure our technology investments translate into real, measurable outcomes. My work centers on:
Architecture strategy & modernization: defining clear target states, multi-year roadmaps, and pragmatic modernization plans across the bank.
AI-first transformation: advancing agentic and compound engineering models, AI for engineering productivity, and AI-powered business solutions that move beyond experimentation into production value.
Operating model & talent: building a high-caliber architecture community of practice, setting clear expectations for principal and distinguished engineers, and evolving architecture into a lightweight, engineering-centric enabler.
Executive & board engagement: partnering with senior leaders and the board on emerging technologies, architectural risk, and long-term technology strategy.
Previously, I led large-scale engineering and DevSecOps transformations across financial services and big tech, including Amazon, Capital One, American Express, and AvalonBay Communities. At TD, I’ve helped drive modern engineering practices, developer experience, secure software supply chain, and AI adoption at enterprise scale - while staying grounded as a hands-on technologist who still writes software, experiments, and builds systems.
